Having Consequences
Maybe you launched an online course, and it hasn’t sold that much.
Maybe you tried freelancing for a bit, and it hasn’t been easy getting clients.
Maybe the SaaS you’re building isn’t going to grow organically either.
And so it’s perfectly fine, you hear others say, to have a job. Because not having revenue comes with… consequences.
—
Maybe you have some opportunities at your job to be the person people rely on.
Maybe you have fewer clients, but the current ones gives you ample leeway, and a culture of trust. You’ve been taking the lead.
Maybe you had a string of clients who you’d recommend, and they’ll jump on the occasion to recommend you too.
That good streak might one day end, but you’ve been putting in non-standard efforts that come with the right kind of consequence.
—
In either case, what you’re after is to be in a position to have consequences.
So the course launch came and went. Freelancing was hit or miss. The SaaS didn’t catch that wave. What’s going to be next, and what could be the consequence?
