Free Things With Huge Costs

Somebody might give you a compliment, which is free, but if your self-image isn’t great, you won’t receive the compliment. But working on your self-image is not free, it bears a huge cost. A compliment, for some, is far from free.

Somebody might give you hard-earned advice, which is free, but if you haven’t gone through the pain that created the insight, you won’t receive the advice. Throwing yourself in the ring and working on hard projects, it bears a huge cost. Advice, for some, is far from free.

Somebody might give you their time, freely, but if you haven’t lived through paying someone else for theirs, you won’t value their time like they do. But paying for someone else’s time racks up fast, and becomes a huge cost. Time, for some, is far from free.

When you do the costly work, you get to receive, from that point onward, more for free: compliments connect, advice resonates, time is valued.

If you’re reading this, it means you’re putting in the costly work. Free things are coming soon.
